Why lake lighting is its own animal

Then there is the glass. A window wall that looks like the lake all day turns into a black mirror at night, and every downlight near it shows up as a reflection sitting out over the water. Pulling the interior light back off the glass, aiming the nearest fixtures at side walls instead of the floor in front of it, and putting that zone on its own dimmer takes most of it away.
